INTERNSHIP AND TRAINING PROGRAM THROUGH EXPERIENCE IN A MARKETING AND SALES COMPANY


INTRODUCTION

Marketing, sales and business development applied to the sector of residential and commercial construction in Quebec require good knowledge of the field of construction and real estate, in general and as a whole, to represent or sell products and services and assist entrepreneurs, real- estate investors and SME executives.

Candidates for employment in marketing and business development of SMEs often work in teams with the owner of the company and they must perform various tasks that require a good knowledge of different aspects of construction, such as: building codes and standards, materials and work methods in the field of construction in Quebec.   • Become familiar with the requests for residential renovation permits;
  • Better understand the dynamics of human and professional exchanges in the Quebec workplace to improve one’s skills, attitudes and behavior;
  • Develop and gain self-confidence, as much by individual work as in a team in a company. This being used for interviews with concrete examples of local experiences to tell future employers;
  • Better understand the needs and challenges that face employers in Quebec and how to meet them to get a job;
  • Recognize and perform various general tasks practised by all, for the good functioning of an SME and a project: administration, keeping an office in good order and clean, customer relations, project presentation, etc.;
